Job Description :
We are seeking a motivated and skilled SOC Engineer to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles and experience in monitoring and responding to security incidents. This role is essential in maintaining the security posture of our organization.
Key Responsibilities :
- Security Monitoring : Monitor security alerts and events from various sources, including SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems, to identify potential security incidents.
- Incident Response : Investigate and respond to security incidents, including identifying the root cause and coordinating remediation efforts.
- Threat Analysis : Conduct threat analysis and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks to the organization's information systems.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents, investigations, and responses in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and enhance overall security posture.
- Continuous Learning : Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to improve SOC operations and incident response capabilities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 1+ year of experience in a security operations role or related experience in cybersecurity.
Skills Required :
- Understanding of security monitoring tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS).
- Familiarity with incident response procedures and methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
