Job Title: Database Reliability Engineer (My SQL / Cloud DBA) Job Function: Infrastructure / Engineering Location: Bengaluru, on-site. Experience: 4–6 years Start Date: Immediately ✅ If someone has strong My SQL/No SQL DBA skills + Linux + backup/replication/HA + on-call support + basic cloud exposure, they can do this job. Key Skills: Strong expertise in My SQL / No SQL database administration Cloud databases (AWS RDS, Aurora) Backup & recovery, replication, HA, performance tuning Linux system administration Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Puppet, Chef Monitoring tools: Grafana, Nagios, Prometheus Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, multicast, broadcast) Version control systems ( Git ) Key Responsibilities: Manage and resolve database-related tickets (Jira/Freshdesk) and production incidents ( on-call support ). Monitor and maintain My SQL/No SQL databases to ensure availability, security, and performance. Implement and manage replication, backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies (on-premise & cloud). Troubleshoot database performance issues and support developers with database queries and optimisations. Design and implement high availability (HA), scalability, and archival strategies for databases . Administer cloud databases ( AWS RDS, Aurora ) with a focus on security and compliance. Work with monitoring tools ( Grafana, Nagios, Prometheus ) to track system health and performance. Use Dev Ops tools ( Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Git, Kubernetes, Docker ) for deployment, automation, and configuration management. Apply networking knowledge (TCP/IP, UDP, Wireshark, tcpdump) for troubleshooting and system performance. Note: Please read about Recro before applying. This is for one of our projects - Flipkart.
