Database Design and Architecture: Develop and maintain the database architecture, data models, and standards for various applications.

Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient data retrieval and storage.

Data Security: Implement and manage security protocols to protect sensitive data from breaches and unauthorized access.

Backup and Recovery: Design and implement backup and recovery plans to safeguard data integrity and availability.

Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate databases with applications and ensure proper functionality.

Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of the database structure, processes, and best practices.

Compliance: Ensure databases comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to junior database administrators and other IT staff.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
