Job Description: Java LeadLocation: ChennaiExperience: 7–10 YearsRole: Full-timeRole OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Java Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Java backend development and experience in designing scalable enterprise applications within an Azure environment. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership to project teams, ensure adherence to best practices, and guide developers in delivering high-quality, high-performance solutions.Key Responsibilities- Design and develop scalable J2EE applications deployed in an Azure environment.- Provide technical guidance to project teams on Java/Spring/Azure development, application design, coding best practices, performance tuning, and system availability.- Review and ensure the quality of solution designs and implementations delivered by the development team.- Mentor and support junior team members to enhance their technical skills.- Participate in support, debugging, and troubleshooting activities to resolve complex technical issues.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment.- Work on complex enterprise applications involving web services, message queues, mobile UIs, and Java application frameworks.Required Skills & Experience- 7–10 years of software development experience with strong backend expertise in Java.- Advanced proficiency in Java 8 or above.- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and other Java application frameworks.- Experience working with Tomcat 8.x or higher.- Hands-on experience with Message Queues/Azure Topics.- Strong knowledge of Oracle 12, including SQL queries and Stored Procedures.- Experience with Hibernate ORM.- Proficiency in Web UI technologies: JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS, JSTL.- Experience with Jersey/Jackson/OAuth2 for RESTful Web Services.- Strong understanding of design patterns such as MVC and Chain of Responsibility.- Proven experience implementing complex enterprise solutions.- Solid analytical background with substantial experience in support/debugging activities.- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.- Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and a passion for hands-on technical development.Desired Skills- Experience with PostgreSQL.- Knowledge of JUnit, JMock, and other testing frameworks.- Working experience with Azure DevOps, Git, Maven.- Familiarity with Apache Commons libraries.- Experience with Azure DevOps – VSTS.
