Roles, Responsibility and Accountability

  • Distribution of manpower
  • To reduce MTTR (Mean Time To Repair)
  • Breakdown analysis & corrective action plan.
  • Adherence to PM schedule as per PM works order.
  • Optimum utilisation of spares, lubricants & consumables.
  • Reviewing of all maintenance records.
  • To ensure setup as per the specification.
  • To ensure that all measuring instruments are calibrated.
  • To ensure 5-S activity in his section.
  • To arrest all unsafe conditions
  • Steam leakage
  • Oil leakage
  • Air leakage
  • Water Leakage
  • Loose cable / Joints
  • Damaged Cables
  • Open electrical panel etc.
  • After carrying out the break down and preventive maintenance ensure the storage & disposal of solid waste & hazardous waste like oil soaked cotton waste / oil filters etc as per the standard guide line.
  • To guide for EHS awareness for all shift workman including contactor workers.
  • To ensure the use of PPE's as required.
  • To arrest unsafe act.
  • Adherence of operational control procedure
  • For any emergency like Fire, Accident, natural calamities inform the concern persons immediately and take immediate actions as desired.
  • To ensure that the work permits are implemented in their area adequately as per the permit issued.

Authority

  • Monitoring and reviewing all maintenance & engineering activity.
  • To stop any unsafe act / unsafe practise / unsafe condition.
  • Reporting to DGM /AGM / Sr. Manager as the case may be - Engineering about the performance of engineering team and plant performance

Competence

  • Degree / Diploma in Science / Engineering in the relevant field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance activities of tire / tire related industries
  • Good planning and organizing skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
