Mainframe Specialist

Project Description:We are seeking a talented and experienced Mainframe Specialist with Assembler skills to join our team. As a Mainframe Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our mainframe software development and deployment processes. You will work closely with our development, operations, and quality assurance teams to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and enhance overall efficiency.Responsibilities:-

Develop and maintain software applications utilizing mainframe technologies, specifically Cobol, DB2, JCL, CICS, and MQ.-

Apply strong technical skills and experience in Assembler language to enhance and support mainframe applications.-

Utilize strong object-oriented analysis and design skills to create and optimize software solutions.-

Use tools like GitLab and Sonar for version control, code quality, and continuous integration.-

Implement and manage continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) processes to ensure efficient software delivery.-

Apply domain knowledge of investment banking, particularly in trade settlement systems and payment processes, to relevant projects.-

Communicate effectively and present technical information clearly to various stakeholders.-

Utilize Agile methodologies, including metrics like Velocity, Burndown charts, and Story points, to manage and track project progress.-

Maintain strong organizational skills and apply quality assurance practices to ensure high standards in software development.-

Collaborate and work effectively within large global teams to deliver software solutions.Mandatory Skills:-

Minimum 9+ years experience of developing software utilizing Mainframe-

Should have strong and proven technical skills in Mainframe Cobol-

Should have strong technical skill & experience working in Assembler language-

Should have strong object oriented analysis & design skills.-

Should have exposure to tools like GITLAB, Sonar etc.-

Should have good exposure & experience in the CI & CD topics.-

Preferred to have good domain knowledge of Investment Banking - Trade Settlement Systems & Payment-

Should have good communication & presentation skills-

Should have hands-on experience with Agile methodologies & metrics like Velocity, Burndown chart, Story points etc.-

Should have strong organizational and quality assurance skills-

Strong experience working within large global teams-

Strong experience working with JavaNice-to-Have Skills:-

Good to have additional knowledge in Java - Core Java Concepts, Spring/Hibernate OR-

Proficient in building ML (Machine Learning) & NLP (Natural Language Processing) solutions using common ML libraries and frameworks.-

Proficient with Python language and worked on various ML toolkits like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras,Scikit Learn.Languages:English: C1 Advanced
