Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

· Oversee preparation and finalization of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual).

· Ensure timely and accurate closing of books of accounts.

· Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial planning.

· Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger activities.

· Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.

· Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

· Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS) and statutory requirements.

Compliance & Statutory Requirements

  • Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Income Tax, and other statutory obligations.
  • Monitor compliance with accounting standards and statutory guidelines.
  • Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax auditors, and consultants.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare and monitor annual budgets in coordination with management.
  • Analyze financial variances and recommend cost optimization measures.
  • Provide financial insights to support business strategy and decision-making.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Provide periodic MIS reports to management for decision-making.
  • Monitor working capital, cash flow, and fund management.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise, mentor, and guide the accounts' team.
  • Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure team productivity.
  • Develop the team's knowledge in accounting and compliance practices.
  • Conduct training and development sessions for team members.

Process & System Improvements

  • Implement and maintain effective internal financial controls.
  • Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and audit trails.
  • Drive process improvements in accounting operations and software systems.
  • Support management in financial planning and cost control.
  • Liaise with banks, financial institutions, and government authorities.
  • Participate in process improvements and implementation of accounting systems (ERP/SAP/Tally).

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and corporate taxation.
  • Expertise in statutory compliances (GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial analysis.
  • Leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • High integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Accounting/Finance (Master's degree or MBA preferred).
  • Professional qualification (CA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent) highly desirable.
  • 8–12 years of accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing, trading, or FMCG industry preferred.
