Funded by Premji Invest- Azim Premji’s Investment arm and NewQuest , iD Fresh manufactures 55,000 kg of idly/dosa batter every day and delivers it to over 30,000 retail outlets. The company’s product range has grown to include a wide range of fresh ready-to-cook foods including ‘Squeeze and Fry’ Vada Batter, South Indian Filter Coffee decoction, Ragi Idly/Dosa batter, Natural Paneer and Malabar Parota among others. The company has also launched an organic product line and will soon be converting its entire operations to organic.


About the Operational Model

The Legal Executive will be responsible for providing legal support and guidance to the company, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and mitigating legal risks. This role involves drafting and reviewing legal documents, advising on corporate governance, and representing the company in legal proceedings. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and employment law.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel and manage relationships with law firms.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and assist with the preparation of board materials and minutes.
  • Support the due diligence process for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
  • Handle intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
  • Assist in the resolution of disputes and manage the company's litigation portfolio.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on legal and compliance matters.


Key Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) or equivalent; a master’s degree in law (LLM) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a legal executive or similar role, preferably within a corporate or law firm environment.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
