Develop and review the curriculum to align with medical education standards and forensic medicine advancements. Supervise postgraduate theses, research projects, and case studies. Mentor junior faculty and students, fostering academic growth and development. 2. Research and Scholarly Contribution: Lead and conduct high-impact research in forensic medicine, toxicology, or medico-legal aspects. Publish research findings in reputable journals and present at national and international conferences. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for innovative forensic and medico-legal research. Secure research grants and funding for departmental projects. 3. Medico-Legal Expertise: Provide expert opinions in medico-legal cases, including autopsies, injury evaluation, and toxicological analysis. Guide hospitals and legal authorities in medico-legal documentation and procedures. Represent the department in medico-legal consultations with law enforcement and judicial bodies. 4. Administrative and Leadership Duties: Participate in departmental and institutional management, including policy development and accreditation processes. Organize and coordinate academic events such as conferences, workshops, and seminars. Contribute to faculty recruitment, development, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with medico-legal and ethical guidelines in departmental operations. 5. Community Outreach and Engagement: Conduct training programs for healthcare professionals, law enforcement, and legal practitioners. Promote public awareness about medico-legal issues and forensic medicine practices. Qualifications and Requirements: Education: MD in Forensic Medicine or an equivalent recognized qualification. Additional certifications or advanced training in forensic medicine are preferred. Skills and Competencies: Advanced knowledge of forensic pathology, toxicology, and medico-legal aspects. Strong research background with publications in peer-reviewed journals. Excellent teaching and mentorship abilities. Proficiency in medico-legal procedures, documentation, and reporting.
