Responsibility of Prepare engineering drawings and documents to suit to project schedule.

o Ensure engineering deliverables with high quality as per departmental operating

procedure and guidelines.

o Use custom software tools to design ground-mounted PV system layouts

o Detailed knowledge of solar system design, and different configuration and

optimization methodologies

o Perform accurate system sizing calculations

o Create electrical single-line diagrams, panel schedules, or connection diagrams for

electric systems, using computer-aided design (CAD) software

o Generate construction drawing packages/sketches/as-builts using CAD software

o Create general arrangement drawings, section, elevation drawings and

construction details

o Maintain drawing templates and libraries.

o Compile equipment documentation and specification sheets to submit to

customers

o Perform other responsibilities as necessary to support the successful completion of

projects

Functional skills & Job knowledge/experience

o Computer literate with good knowledge of MS-office & expertise in AutoCAD and

Google earth.

o Familiar in PV Case, PV CAD, Helios 3D, Google SketchUp for shading scene analysis.

o Familiar with Engineering standards – IS, IEC,EN, BS, IEEE/ANSI, NEC, and NFC & etc.

and, Safety regulations, Utility standards & etc.

o Prepare PV plant related Array layout, Cable routing layout, equipment layout,

Earthing, Lightning protection, & etc.

o Design & Drafting of Equipment layouts, SLD/Schemes, General Arrangements (GA)

of Substations.

o Good Knowledge on preparation of quantity estimation and BOM.

o Preparation of cable schedules and drum schedules.

o Understanding and Preparation of technical specifications and review of tender

specifications.

o Understanding of Sizing/selection of PV module, SCB, Transformer, Inverter, MV/LV

switchgear/CRP Panel, Cable, Bus Bar/Duct, DG, UPS, Battery/Battery charger etc.

o Understanding of Calculation of Cable sizing, system Fault current, Power loss,

Earthing, Lightning protection system, Lighting/Illumination system.

o Understanding of Manufacturers/Vendor/Subcontractors Drawings &

Documentations.
