Solveda is investing heavily in building a world-class eCommerce business and we are responsible for defining and delivering a collection of eCommerce platforms. Our solutions are strategically important to our Retail and Marketplace customers driving long-term growth. 

We are currently developing innovative new features, and we’re looking for top test/quality engineers to ensure our very high-quality bar is met and raised. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will define and build test suites and push our eCommerce systems to their limits and beyond. 

You will work with program management, development teams, and our QA organization to scope out features and understand the customer requirements, then work side-by-side with the team to ensure the quality of our system. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Evaluate systems and customer-facing functionality and create test strategies and test cases to assess quality for multiple sites and regions. 
• Writing and executing functional and performance test plans, designing, and developing manual and automation test cases, debugging and reporting code bugs, and pushing quality upstream. 
• Management and execution of project plans in JIRA and Zephyr and meeting delivery commitments. 
• Work closely with technical leaders to develop the best technical design and approach for testing our functionality and performance at scale across browser browsers and platforms. 
• Build software quality solutions where the problem is not well defined. You are capable of understanding the interaction between the components in a distributed system in order to ensure they are functioning properly. Identify, performance-tuning opportunities and remediation tactics.  
• Create summary reports and execute functional and performance quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts.  

Basic Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field or equivalent experience 
• 4+ years of experience in software quality engineering and testing 
• 3+ years’ experience with driving quality for a project 
• Experience building and designing manual test cases 
• Ability to write and troubleshoot code in at least one modern programming language Java, Python, JavaScript or C# 
• 2+ years’ hands-on experience with JMeter, AppTim, New Relic or similar  

Preferred Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science. Master’s degree preferred in a related technical field. 
• Experience working closely with development and business teams to present quality/test data, read business data, negotiate on the scope of test coverage/timing/resources, and to actively pull business requirements out of data/partners and distil them to test/risk strategy. 
• Demonstrated experience in test strategy development, test planning, test designing, and test execution. 
• Experience testing distributed systems 
• Knowledge of industry standard test automation/performance tools and experience developing product test frameworks 
• Experience with open-source tools and resources 
• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
