Position :

Position: Professor/HoD of Optometry, Public Health and CVT


GD Goenka University is inviting applications for faculty positions, including Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor and HoD to join and enrich its academic team.


Job Type:

Regular


Qualification:

Good academic record with a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.


Experience:


Ten years of experience in teaching and /or research at the University/National level

institutions including experience of guiding research in doctoral level, with outstanding performing

achievement in the field of specialization with a minimum of 10 research publications in the peer

reviewed/ UGC listed journals


Roles & Responsibilities-


  1. Develop the quality assurance framework within the University’s overall framework, including the validation and revalidation of courses, and student admission and assessment.
  2. Challenge thinking, foster debate and develop the ability of students to engage in critical discourse and rational thinking.
  3. Has made significant contributions in the field of specializations and has the ability to guide research.
  4. Ability to explain the logical reasoning of the subject concerned and adequate knowledge to teach theory with illustrations in the said discipline.
  5. Contribution to educational innovations such as designing of new curriculum and/ or outstanding performing achievement in the field of specialization.
  6. Participation in National/International Seminars/Conferences/ Workshops and/ or recipient of National/International Awards/ Fellowships
  7. Lead and coordinate research activity in the subject including determining relevant research objectives, and preparing research proposals.
  8. Write or contribute to publications or disseminate research findings using other appropriate media and seek practical application of research findings.
  9. Carry out independent research and act as principal investigator and project leader & act as a referee and contribute to peer assessment.
  10. Prepare and submit proposals and applications to external bodies, e.g. for funding and accreditation purposes. Contribute to University-wide planning and strategic development, and departmental-level strategic planning.
  11. Chair committees and participate in University decision-making and governance & promote and market the work of the Faculty and University in the subject area both nationally and internationally and support University profile building.
