Job Title - Head, Admissions and Outreach

Location - Mumbai, Maharashtra

Job Responsibilities*

Spearhead Admissions Process:

• Provide strategic direction and thinking to all admissions related activities
• Formulate admissions policies, procedures, and systems to enable a streamlined process with quantifiable enrollment goals
• Design procedures and requirements for review and submission of application documents
• Supervise and oversee the admissions committee to provide direction and resolve any issues that may arise
• Maintain admissions guidelines by ensuring compliance to the latest UGC guidelines and suggest amendments to keep up with larger trends in the higher education landscape
• Collate admission statistics about the student database and resolve student conflict regarding policies and procedures

Team Management:

• Develop the structure and staff reporting mechanisms for the admissions department and oversee its functioning
• Responsible for supervising the admissions team to enable working towards enrolment goals without backlogs and inefficiencies in the admissions process

Partnerships and Collaboration:

• Maintain correspondence with different School departments, School leadership, external and internal consultants and other relevant stakeholders to assist in promoting the School’s value proposition and developing strategic plans for attracting highly qualified students
• Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to organize promotional materials and activities such as brochures, webinars and campus tours
• Collaborate with the registrar and financial aid departments to assist with enrollment and financial issues

Student Outreach and Orientation:

• Strategic planning and implementation of admissions outreach in line with larger goals of the School
• Supervise activities such as on-site admission days, campus tours for prospective students, school visits, public outreach events and information sessions
• Design and spearhead an engaging, welcoming, and informative new student orientation program to create a sense of community and belonging

Finance and Budgeting:

Formulate the departmental budget in line with forecasted expenditures and ensure adherence to the budget while making adjustments where necessary

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 10 – 15 Years of experience in Higher Education
• Post Graduate degree from a globally ranked institution
• Passion for building world class institutions of higher education
• Deep understanding of the MBA admissions landscape
• Understanding of Indian higher education market and related policies
• Experience of managing and leading teams
• Existing relationships in the higher education space and with education counsellors
• Keen interest in technology, social media marketing
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Compensation : Competitive and commensurate to qualifications and as per standard industry benchmarks.
