Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Production Merchandiser to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4 years of experience in managing karigars, masters, sampling units, and production units within the apparel/textile industry. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process from sampling to final delivery, ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to timelines. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of skilled artisans.

Responsibilities: Production Planning and Execution: Develop and execute production plans based on approved samples and order requirements. Monitor production schedules and ensure timely delivery of orders. Coordinate with design, sampling, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow.

Karigar and Master Management: Manage and supervise a team of karigars and masters, ensuring efficient and high-quality workmanship. Allocate tasks and responsibilities based on individual skills and project requirements. Provide guidance and training to improve the skills and productivity of the team. Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise within the team.

Sampling and Prototyping: Oversee the sampling process, ensuring accurate execution of designs and specifications. Coordinate with sampling units to develop prototypes and pre-production samples. Analyze samples for quality and fit, and provide feedback for necessary adjustments.

Production Unit Management: Monitor and manage the production unit, ensuring efficient utilization of resources. Maintain quality control standards throughout the production process. Identify and address any production bottlenecks or inefficiencies. Ensure proper maintainance of production equipment.

Quality Control and Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure adherence to standards. Conduct regular inspections of finished products to identify and rectify any defects. Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality regulations.

Communication and Coordination: Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including designers, suppliers, and clients. Provide regular updates on production progress and any potential delays. Coordinate with logistics and shipping teams to ensure timely delivery of orders.

Cost Management: Monitor production costs and identify areas for cost reduction. Negotiate rates with karigars and masters. Manage material usage and minimize wastage.

Qualifications: Minimum of 4 years of experience in production merchandising within the apparel/textile industry. Proven experience in managing karigars, masters, sampling units, and production units. Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and sewing techniques. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office Suite). Knowledge of fabrics and trims. Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and pattern drawings.

Preferred Qualifications: Diploma or degree in fashion merchandising, apparel production, or a related field. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
