ISS STOXX ESG is actively looking for a Sustainability Bond Rating Team Lead for their Traditional Research team in Mumbai.
ESG Research, a division of ISS STOXX, provides a wide range of market-leading research, ratings, and screening solutions for investors to develop policies, practices, and engagement criteria for their portfolio holdings. A division of ESG Research is Integrated Solutions, which is organized around four ESG Research verticals. The Traditional Research team is one of the verticals which is responsible for the Sustainability Bond Rating (SBR) solution, providing a bond-issuance specific rating for the labeled debt universe, that incorporates a comprehensive methodology, featuring over 150 data points per bond, touching on both regulatory and climate themes. The SBR solution enables ISS STOXX to position itself as a leading voice in the Fixed Income ESG space.
Overview:
The Sustainability Bond Rating Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing the input from the Traditional Research team in the production of all SBRs and for the implementation of the supporting methodology. The core areas of research will cover E&S Risks and SDG mapping.
This senior role requires managing a team of analysts and close interaction with multiple internal stakeholders, including Integrated Solutions, Data Governance, Methodology, and Product.
Responsibilities:
Core responsibilities will include following but are not limited to:
Managing the research input into the Sustainability Bond Rating, with a strong focus on quality management and process enhancement.
Reporting directly to the heads of the Traditional Research team.
Managing a team of analysts, including training, oversight, development, and capacity planning.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in ESG or sustainability.
Expertise in Green Bonds, Fixed Income research, or financial market experience.
Master's degree in Finance, Sustainability, or relevant field preferred.
Leadership and communication skills.
Strong quantitative/analytical skills, critical thinking, and excellent attention to detail.
Experience in Microsoft Office.
