Rolesand Responsibilities:


The person shall beresponsible for the complete design detailing and proposalengineering of instrumentation /Automation of Oil & Gasprojects and substations. The Lead of Instrumentation shall managethe entire design for a project or a set of smaller projectsincluding coordination with other disciplines viz. Electrical Civiland Mechanical. Lead of Instrumentation shall lead a team ofEngineers Design Engineers and draftsman to manage the Engineeringactivities within budget deliver on time and maintaining a highquality of engineering.


  • Should have good experience in Oil &Gas project engineering execution & international standardsand exposure to customer like Aramco ADNOC KNPC QP PDO standards /practices.
  • Should have good experience indetailed engineering and site commissioning activities of fieldinstruments like Transmitters Switches Control Valves OnOff ValvesPressure Safety Valves Various type of Instrumentation cablesJunction Boxes Cable Trays Cable Gland etc.
  • Should have good expertise in studying and correctP&I Diagram Process interface checks Interdisciplinarychecks etc.
  • Should have good experience indetailed engineering and site commissioning activities of VariousIndustrial control and safety systems like DCS Process PLCEmergency Shutdown PLC Fire and Gas PLC etc.
  • Should be aware of various design aspects like SIL studyHazardous area classification UPS Load Calculation Battery sizingcalculation Ingress Protection etc.
  • Shouldhave good experience in various industrial safety security andcommunication systems like Fire alarm System Public Address SystemCCTV System EPABX System FiberOptic Communication etc.
  • Should have good understanding of various communicationprotocol used in industry like Modbus TCP/IP Profibus FoundationField Bus IEC61850 etc.
  • Develop engineeringspecification basis of design and scope to upgrade obsolete fire& gas detection system detector layout drawings cause& effect matrix in compliance with NFPA 72
  • Must be aware of the interface between fire alarm panelsand the HVAC FDAS deluge valves security access control systems andDCS.
  • Should have good experience inengineering deliverables of the FrontEnd and Detail EngineeringDesign which include preparation of DBSP scope of work technicalspecifications developed instrument loop drawings I/O lists cabinetdesign Shutdown keys Wiring terminations orifice plate sizingInstrument and Detectors selection JB details data sheetscalculations/reports.
  • Should have Conversantknowledge in Smart Plant Instrumentation development procedure andimplementation standards.
