Legal Counsel

Job Description We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel to manage seller disputes, draft and send legal notices, and support compliance operations at Shiplee.ai. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of commercial law, contract drafting, e-commerce regulations, and dispute resolution. This is a full-time remote role working directly with the Founder’s Office. Requirements We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to join Shiplee.ai and handle all legal matters related to seller disputes, fraud cases, and operational compliance. You will be responsible for drafting legal notices, reviewing contracts, advising on risk areas, and protecting the organisation’s legal interests in all seller and partner interactions. Key Responsibilities Draft and send legal notices to sellers, vendors, and third parties Handle and resolve seller dispute cases and payment-related conflicts Develop legal strategy for dispute resolution and compliance Review and draft agreements, MoUs, NDAs, and service contracts Support Finance and Operations teams in recovering dues from sellers Investigate fraud claims, documentation issues, and policy violations Advise on legal implications of logistics, SaaS operations, and data privacy Maintain accurate documentation of all legal communication Represent the company in arbitration or legal proceedings as required Stay updated with commercial law, IT laws, and e-commerce regulatory changes ✅ Requirements LLB / LLM from a recognised institution 2+ years of experience in corporate law, litigation, or dispute handling Prior experience in drafting legal notices and managing commercial disputes Good understanding of IT Act, GST, Consumer Protection, and e-commerce laws Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess disputes quickly Ability to work independently and manage confidential information Experience with startups or tech platforms is an added advantage Benefits Competitive salary Work directly with the founder & leadership High ownership role with real impact Fast-paced work environment Opportunity to handle real-world dispute and compliance cases Requirements We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to join Shiplee.ai and handle all legal matters related to seller disputes, fraud cases, and operational compliance.
