Mechanical Draughtsman

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Draughtsman to join our team and contribute to the design and production of scale models, 3D models, and architectural models. In this role, you will work closely with architects, engineers, and model makers to create detailed technical drawings and digital models that accurately represent architectural designs. Your expertise in mechanical drafting and attention to detail will be instrumental in bringing our projects to life.

Location: Vasai (East), Palghar

Responsibilities:

1) Technical Drawing:

• Create detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for scale models and architectural models using CAD software.
• Ensure that drawings adhere to industry standards, specifications, and project requirements.

2) 3D Modeling Support:

• Assist in the creation of 3D models of architectural designs, components, and structures using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to incorporate mechanical components and systems into 3D models.

3) Material Selection and Specification:

• Research and specify appropriate materials, components, and mechanical systems for scale models and architectural models.
• Provide technical guidance on material properties, fabrication techniques, and assembly methods.

4) Prototype Development:

• Support the fabrication and assembly of prototype models, including mechanical components, moving parts, and functional elements.
• Conduct testing and validation of prototypes to ensure functionality and performance.

5) Quality Assurance:

• Review and analyze technical drawings and 3D models to identify errors, inconsistencies, or areas for improvement.
• Work collaboratively with team members to resolve issues and optimize designs for manufacturing and assembly.

6) Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate documentation of design revisions, specifications, and project milestones.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation for client review and internal communication.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman or CAD Technician in a relevant industry (e.g., architecture, engineering, manufacturing).
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with 3D modeling techniques.
• Strong technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
