About the job
Audio Converter product line is hiring a device driver and framework integration engineer to support its amplifier and converter products. Candidate will be responsible for architecting, designing and developing audio drivers on windows, and Linux platforms for amplifiers and converters products. Candidate should be proficient writing, debugging, optimizing and testing of windows/linux audio drivers on portable electronic products for various platforms like Intel, AMD and Qualcomm. The role also includes interaction with PC/Mobile platform enabling vendors and training application and field team, in debugging and resolving customer specific software integration issues at various reputed OEMs and ODMs.
Key responsibilities include:
Design, build and maintain efficient and reliable windows/linux driver software and documentation.
Architect, design and development and integrate windows/linux driver and kernel level programming
Work and collaborate effectively with engineers in different functions including design, firmware, applications and field application team in resolving device and customer integration related issues
Bring-up and debug new devices and platforms on windows/linux environment on both pre-silicon and post-silicon environment
Able to identify issues and fix them using software/driver workaround.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Electrical/ECE/CS with 7+ years of driver development experience with at least 1+ year experience on Windows drivers
C and C++ programming and debugging experience preferably in kernel mode
Strong driver development expertise along with basic knowledge of hardware with ability to produce high quality technical documentation
Strong troubleshooting skills using software, hardware and other collaterals
Ability to work across functional groups and organization.
Familiarity with standard digital interfaces: I2S/TDM, Soundwire, PDM, I2C, HDA and version control systems like GIT
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Crash dump analysis, system hang analysis and ETL parsing, Experience in board level design or driver development.
Experience with PC architectures and chipsets, development board and customer platform bring-up experience
Good debugging, profiling and fixing customer specific issues is desired
Python knowledge is a plus
