Solution Architect, Solution EngineeringWestern Union powers your pursuit.You will be leading a team of engineers with a broad range of responsibilities including all aspects of software engineering like requirements understanding and validation, solution design, detailed design, development, testing and software configuration management. Build products, systems, and services that are optimized, well organized and maintainable, and have high impact on our end users.Role ResponsibilitiesLead a team of software developers with a broad range of responsibilities including software architecture, design, development, unit testing and software configuration management.Build software that is optimized, well organized and maintainable.Monitoring on-going risks and providing resolutions, driving process improvements, resource planning & optimization and performance managementPartner with key stakeholders, both off-shore and on-shore, and delivering on the service level agreementsCoordinate architecture review, oversight, and implementation in conjunction with the WU-Architecture teamInvest time daily on all projects to remove impediments and provide solutions to technical challenges and make escalations as necessary.Role Requirements5+ years of relevant software development experience with focus on leading teams to deliver technology focused projects preferred.Extensive prior experience in architecting, developing applications and solutions.Experience is designing and implementing high performance, mission critical applications.Experience in executing large scale technology modernization projects.Deep understanding of Microservices and Event driven architectureExcellent knowledge of databases including Relational Data Design, NoSQL & Big Data technologiesThorough understanding of Application Security ModelsExperience in implementing DevOps and exposure to all DevOps areas like Source Control, Continuous Integration, Infra Automation, Continuous DeploymentTechnical Area of Expertise
:Microservices development experience using Java Spring Boot is a must.Data Structures and Design PatternsRDBMS like Oracle, MS SQL etc.NoSQL databases like Couchbase, MongoDB etc.Web development experience using Angular is preferable.Experience in developing and deploying applications in AWS CloudStrong communication skills with ability to interact with internal and external partners globally.will also have access to short-term incentives, multiple health insurance options, accident and life insurance, and access to best-in-class development platforms, to name a few().
