- Automation Solutions: Deliver innovative automation solutions and design standards either self-directed or as a leader of a team.
- Control Systems: Conceptualize, detail, and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery that meet customer requirements.
- System Architecture: Develop control system architecture, select components, detail schematic diagrams, and create system documentation.
- Hardware Expertise: Ensure in-depth knowledge of controls hardware including control panel design, UL508A familiarity, motor control centers, hazardous area panel design, and industrial instrumentation.
- Industrial Protocols: Design, detail, and implement a variety of fiber, wired, and wireless systems using industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNET, Modbus, etc.).
- Technical Leadership: Act as the technical lead on projects and guide lower-level engineers and technicians.
- Project Management: Perform project management tasks, including developing execution plans, task prioritization, scheduling, financial tracking, and reporting.
- Project Oversight: Oversee daily operations and activities of projects up to $1.5M, ensuring overall project profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Experience:
- 15+ years of experience in the design of electrical schematics, power distribution, and control systems.
- Extensive experience with hazardous location control system design and industrial networking.
- Proficiency with PLC, DCS, HMI, and SCADA platforms such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Modicon, Wonderware, GE iFIX, and Emerson DeltaV.
- 15+ years of experience in the design of electrical schematics, power distribution, and control systems.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Experience in customer-facing roles.
- Experience leading a team of engineers and managing supplier subcontracts.

Requirements
Professional Experience: Minimum of 10 years in controls engineering with a strong background in electrical schematics and control system design.
