  • Creative Design: The Product designer should be able to use their knowledge and expertise in aesthetics, art, and design to create original, visually appealing designs for packaging, branding and communications. They should be able to think quickly and come up with quality 2D and 3D designs as per the brief requirements. They should have a flair for 3D design and be open to exploring other domains such as graphic design, CMF,3D printing, basic animation, photography to deliver knockout deliverables.
  • Communication: The Product designer should be an excellent communicator with professional presentation skills. They should maintain good communication with the team and be self-driven creatively. They should be able to collaborate effectively with various internal stakeholders to manage a favorable outcome of the working prototypes.
  • Project Management: The Product designer should be able to work on both strategic internal as well as customer-driven projects within the given deadlines. They should have flexible thinking and be able to move between different styles of work as per the brand/brief requirement. They should be able to create and execute concepts with a deep understanding of the design process and deliver original work.
  • User Insights & Research: The Product designer has keen observational research skills & can empathize with the end user resulting in meaningful Design briefs rooted on user research. They should be curious to keep up to date with upcoming manufacturing materials & processes in the domain of Printing & Packaging and are also able to design the tactile experience of the packaging.
  • Photography: The Product designer should have a flair and competence for product photography. They should have a good comfort level and experience in photography as it would be an important aspect of creative deliverables.
  • Software Expertise: The Product designer should have an advanced skill level in 2d softwares of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator. They should also have a solid foundation to create 3D shapes with softwares such as Rhino and Blender. They should have demonstrated work in most, if not all, of the above fields and have a flexible workflow and understanding between multiple softwares.


KEY ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


  • The role requires utilizing factors like user behavior, physical shape, color, typography & graphics to create design that is appealing to the intended users.
  • Primary day to day functions would include creating Observational insights, user journey research presentations,3D models, high quality Digital renders, create graphical decals & patterns, visual storytelling presentations.
  • They will work on both strategic internal as well as Customer driven projects within the deadline.
  • Has flexible thinking and is able to move between different styles of work as per the brand/brief requirement.
  • Create & execute concepts with deep understanding of the design process & deliver original work.
  • Needs to collaborate with various internal stakeholders & manage a favorable outcome of the printed work.
  • Good comfort level & experience in photography would be an important aspect of creative deliverable.
  • Has a good grip on Printing & related processes.
  • The Individual must have demonstrated work in most, if not all the above fields & flexible workflow & understanding between multiple softwares.
