Diageo is therefore seeking a

SAP Solution Architect

who has excellent technical and leadership capabilities to optimally deliver SAP S/4 Hana solutions in Diageo’s fast-paced environment. They will have successfully implemented several S/4 Hana solutions and have an excellent cross functional understanding of SAP.

OverviewThis Role, working alongside our System Integrators and SAP, will ensure that our SAP solution and echo systems are designed in a cohesive way. They will leverage SAP standards while supporting unique industry specific solutions and ways of working as needed. They will drive the Design Authority to safeguard compliance to the design and approval process thereby ensuring a smooth transition to Hana S/4 and ongoing transformation activity.

Top Accountabilities

Run and manage the Design AuthorityEnsure compliance to design process and sign-offDrive discissions, as needed, to get to well thought through, cohesive design that is aligned across the Functional TeamsProbe the design / solution as required, to ensure that all aspects have been considered – bringing experience to bear.Manage muti-wave impacts on design, looking to ensure that future designs are understood and accommodated where possible.Ensure that SAP standard is the default unless there is a competitive advantage / legal / statutory / regulatory or tax reason for it not to be.Advocate Clean Core.Approve and set design standards as needed.Work with SAP Max Attention to complete regular Design EvaluationsAlign with Diageo Enterprise Architecture should designs need new software / hardware solutions.

Required CompetenciesExpertise in SAP S/4 HANA and with relevant implementation experienceUnderstanding SAP S/4HANA cloud service offerings with relevant implementation experienceExperience in more than one of the functional workstream (FICO, SD, SF, EWM, TM, BW, Websphere) or over-all solution architectWorked on implementation RFP’s as a solution architect responsible for designing solutions end to endA strong understanding of SAP and integration with other applications/systems in an IT landscapeUnderstanding of software development lifecycle with experiences of Agile and Waterfall Methodologies.

Qualifications and Experience RequiredBachelor’s degree10+ years of technology experienceProven ability to understand how technology choices impact business outcomesDemonstrated ability to build and maintain excellent business relationshipsDemonstrated ability to effectively engage cross-functional teamsDemonstrated ability to work as part of a global team and manage internal D&T StakeholdersProven ability to impact and influence, at a senior stakeholder level, virtually across functions / markets with solid networking, influencing & communication skills.Demonstrated ability to provide effective and targeted communicationExperience of working in a distributed environment (e.g. on-shore, off-shore, etc)Proven ability to work with 3rd parties to deliver the desired outcomeFluent English knowledge

Flexible Working options / Travel requirementsIt is our goal to reach greater flexibility of resources, which we recognize, may require a greater level of mobility and travel from some of our teams. For this role we anticipate the percentage of travel to be maximum 40%.
