Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mainframe Developer to join our team.

As a Mainframe Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mainframe applications to meet our organization's business needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mainframe technologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

- Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications using languages such as COBOL, PL/I, or Assembler.

- Collaborate with business analysts, system analysts, and other stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.

- Develop technical specifications and documentation for mainframe applications.

- Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of developed code.

- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues in mainframe applications and provide timely resolutions.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of coding standards and best practices.

- Work closely with infrastructure teams to deploy and maintain mainframe applications in production environments.

- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in mainframe development to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of development processes.

- Provide technical support and assistance to other team members and end-users as needed.

- Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, including security and compliance requirements.

Requirements :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Strong proficiency in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, or Assembler.

- Experience with mainframe development tools and utilities, including JCL, VSAM, CICS, and IMS.

- Knowledge of mainframe database systems such as DB2 or IMS DB.

- Familiarity with version control systems such as Endevor or Panvalet.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
