Job Overview

We are hiring an Academic Counsellor, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting students in their academic journey. This position requires 1 to 3 years of experience and is based in Bandra, Maharashtra, India. The employment type for this role is Full-Time.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.Proven experience in academic counseling or a similar role.Strong knowledge of educational systems, courses, and career pathways.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Empathetic and compassionate approach towards students.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Flexibility to adapt to the needs of students and changing educational requirements.Proficiency in using counseling software and tools.Ability to work effectively in a team.

Roles and Responsibilities

Provide academic counseling and guidance to students with regards to their course selection, career options, and educational goals.Assist students in identifying their strengths, weaknesses, and interests to help them make informed decisions about their academic pursuits.Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to address their academic concerns, personal issues, and career aspirations.Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and academic staff to ensure effective communication and support.Stay updated with the latest educational and career trends to provide relevant and up-to-date information to students.Collaborate with other academic counselors and professionals to organize workshops, seminars, and career fairs for students.Monitor and track the academic progress of students, identify areas of improvement, and provide appropriate interventions and support.Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, student interactions, and referrals.Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards in all counseling activities.
