The Manager - Machine Learning is responsible for driving the development, strategic integration and implementation of Machine learning and AI technologies within Retail's digital analytics function. The role holder will also be responsible for focusing on ML/AI solutions to optimize various facets of E-commerce operations, including product recommendations, customer personalization, demand planning & forecasting, and supply chain optimizations to drive operational efficiency and customer experience.


Minimum Qualifications/education :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, is required
  • Master's Degree in the same field is preferred
Minimum experience :
  • 6+ years of experience in Machine Learning, Predictive Analytics, Data Science, any other data-related roles within AI umbrella.
  • 2+ years in a large-scale operating e-commerce business is preferred
Skills :
  • Strong understanding of E-commerce and retail business
  • Capable of aligning ML/AI initiatives with overall business strategy, enhancing revenue growth, customer experiences, and operational efficiency
  • Expertise in machine learning techniques, algorithms, and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) with a strong grasp of statistical analysis, data modeling, and optimization
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java for developing and deploying machine learning models and managing data pipelines
  • Proficiency in analytical tools and programming languages such as SQL or other data analysis tools. Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present insights effectively
  • Strong leadership and people management capabilities with proven ability to develop strategic relationships with senior leadership stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills to build and manage a high-performing data team
  • Strong ability to influence process owners and prompt a response for the leader/team needs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; expertise in converting technical messages into clear messages that outline why change is needed that appeals to key business personas
  • Strong ability to articulate the big picture with or without details and work in ambiguous situation
  • Strong English language skills (Speaking, Reading and Writing) with exceptional business writing
