Job Description: Software Tester

Overview:

The Software Tester will be a vital part of our software development team at Decision Management Solutions, responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products. This position requires extensive experience in software testing, particularly within the Decision Management Solutions framework, and collaboration with developers to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:Test Planning and Preparation:Lead the creation of comprehensive test plans and strategies tailored to Decision Management Solutions projects based on specific requirements and specifications.Design and document detailed test cases that maximize coverage of Decision Management Solutions functionalities and features.Test Execution:Conduct various types of tests, including functional, regression, performance, usability, and compatibility testing, specifically focusing on Decision Management Solutions applications.Execute test cases, record results, and ensure adherence to established testing processes and procedures relevant to Decision Management Solutions.Defect Identification and Reporting:Identify, document, and prioritize software defects, inconsistencies, and issues encountered during testing of Decision Management Solutions products.Utilize designated tracking tools to report defects, providing detailed information to facilitate prompt resolution.Collaboration and Communication:Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers at Decision Management Solutions, to ensure a clear understanding of software requirements and features.Communicate test progress, results, and potential risks related to Decision Management Solutions projects to stakeholders in a timely and efficient manner.Automation and Tools:Leverage and enhance automation tools to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness within the Decision Management Solutions environment.Develop and maintain automated test scripts for regression testing and repetitive test cases, specifically for Decision Management Solutions applications.Quality Assurance:Contribute to the overall quality of Decision Management Solutions software by providing insightful feedback and suggestions for improvements.Mentor junior testers in Decision Management Solutions best practices and foster a culture of quality within the team.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.8+ years of industry experience in a testing environment, particularly with Decision Management Solutions -related projects and methodologies.Expertise in software testing concepts and methodologies relevant to Decision Management Solutions applications.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Eagerness to learn and adapt within the evolving field of software testing.

Preferred Skills:Proficient in testing tools such as Selenium and JUnit, with a focus on Decision Management Solutions products.Familiarity with programming languages like Java, especially in the context of Decision Management Solutions development.Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies as applied to Decision Management Solutions projects.Previous experience in mentoring or leading testing teams within a Decision Management Solutions framework.
