Job Description QA Intern – Malware Analysis & Detection Company: Synthlane Technologies Location: Noida (Work From Office) Website: Duration: 1–2 months (Internship) Start Date: As soon as possible About Synthlane Synthlane Technologies is a deep-tech company working on cutting-edge cybersecurity and infrastructure problems. Our team works on malware analysis, detection solutions, and next-gen security tooling for real-world environments. We are looking for a QA Intern (Malware Analysis & Detection) who is sharp, curious, and eager to learn. You will work closely with our engineering team to test and validate our malware analysis and detection solutions. What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities) Assist in testing malware analysis and detection pipelines developed by the core team. Help design and execute test cases for malware behavior tracking (network calls, file changes, persistence, etc.). Validate detection results across different file formats (e.g., ISO, ELF, APK, executables). Work on Linux-based environments to run tests, scripts, and basic automation. Help identify bugs, edge cases, and inconsistencies, and document them clearly for the engineering team. Contribute to basic malware analysis workflows under guidance (static/dynamic analysis, sandbox runs, etc.). Prepare concise test reports , observations, and improvement suggestions in clear English. Who We’re Looking For (Requirements) Strong problem-solving ability and logical thinking (we value smart, fast learners). Comfortable working from our Noida office (this is an on-site role; travel to Noida is required). Basic understanding or strong interest in malware analysis and detection (coursework, self-study, or projects is a plus). Programming skills in at least one language (e.g., Python, C/C++, Go, Rust, etc.). Comfortable using Linux (basic commands, navigating the OS, running scripts/tools). Good English communication skills – especially written, for documentation and reporting. Available for a 1–2 month internship and can join immediately / as soon as possible . Nice-to-Have (Plus Points) Familiarity with any of the following (even at a beginner level): Malware analysis tools (Ghidra, IDA Free, Radare2, etc.). Static/dynamic analysis concepts for PE/ELF/APK files. Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.). Prior personal projects, labs, CTFs, or academic work related to cybersecurity / malware / reverse engineering . Why Intern at Synthlane?
