Job Description :


We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Director of C++ to lead our talented team in developing and delivering cutting-edge software solutions.

You will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction for C++ development, fostering a collaborative work environment, and ensuring our team consistently delivers high-quality software on time and within budget.

Responsibilities :

- Provide strategic vision and leadership for the C++ development team, setting clear goals, objectives, and roadmaps.

- Manage all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for C++ projects, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

- Recruit, hire, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of C++ engineers.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams (e.g., product, design, QA) to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery.

- Oversee technical design and implementation of complex software features, maintaining a focus on scalability, performance, and efficiency.

- Deeply understand embedded Linux OS and OTT/streaming technologies to drive development in these areas.

- Manage external partners and vendors effectively to ensure successful project execution.

- Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering an open and collaborative work environment.

- Be comfortable working with globally distributed teams across different time zones.

- Travel to engineering locations in the United States, Europe, and Asia (as needed).

Qualifications :

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a software leadership role at the manager or senior manager level.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

- Proven track record of success in developing and delivering complex software using C/C++ and multi-threaded systems.

- Extensive experience with full-stack software development on embedded Linux OS and OTT/streaming environments.

- Demonstrated experience building and directly managing teams of individual contributors.

- Experience working with large, cross-functional global teams.

- Ability to see the big picture while effectively managing short-term objectives and deliverables.

- Proven ability to manage external partners and vendors.

- Strong understanding of networking, streaming, and DRM technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, HLS, DASH, Widevine, PlayReady).

- Excellent multi-tasking and project management skills with the ability to handle tight deadlines and distributed teams.

- Willingness to travel internationally to engineering locations in the US, Europe, and Asia.

- Prior experience with mobile and smart home product development is a plus.
