Job Title: Planning Specialist Location: India Industry: Oil & Gas / EPC Projects Employment Type: long term contract Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced Planning Specialist to support a major energy infrastructure venture. The role focuses on managing and integrating project schedules across engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phases, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project standards. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain construction and commissioning schedules aligned with approved project scope. Review and validate contractor project control procedures and progress reports. Monitor EPC contractor schedules for logic, detail, and interface accuracy. Integrate subcontractor, vendor, and supplier schedules into the overall EPC timeline. Conduct schedule risk analysis using Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis software. Evaluate project changes for schedule impact and incorporate approved changes. Advise on potential schedule issues and implement corrective actions. Lead periodic progress review meetings with contractors and report status to management. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Law, Accounting, or related disciplines. Minimum 8 years of experience in project scheduling and controls for EPC oil & gas capital projects. At least 5 years of site/field scheduling experience. Strong knowledge of project controls principles and scheduling methodologies. Proficiency in Primavera P6 (version 18 or above) and Microsoft Office tools. Experience with Primavera Schedule Risk Analysis software. Excellent communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to manage tight deadlines and shifting priorities. Preferred Skills Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Familiarity with schedule integration across multiple contractors and vendors.
