Job Overview
To achieve this, you will be expected to perform the following activities:
Team management: Lead and supervise the accounts receivable (AR) team, ensuring efficient and accurate billing operations, customer receivables processing and reconciliations Provide guidance and support to team members in managing their AR related activities Oversee staff training, development, and performance evaluations Support Leadership in identifying, hiring and on-board new team members Maintain high motivation levels amongst team and ensure team attrition is within industry standards Accounts receivable processing: Manage timely and accurate processing of invoices, credit notes, customer receivables and its application, ageing reviews, and customer reconciliations Manage period end closing of accounts receivable (Sub GL closing, bad debt write-off, provisions, credit note management etc.) ensuring accuracy of financial reports/ statements Provide inputs to client in developing cash collection strategies and improve cash flows Manage AR management reporting, and SLA/ KPIs performance reporting Resolve queries, discrepancies with customers and internal departments/ stakeholders Manage exceptions to the accounts receivable process Oversee SOP documentation update for changes/ improvements in underlying processes and facilitate client reviews and alignments Ensure team is trained on client processes and desktop procedures are correctly maintained with proper version controls and client signoffs Co-ordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and explanations Customer management: Maintain customer relationships and address their inquiries/ queries Collaborate with Business/ Sales teams and other departments to ensure accurate information flow in managing customer relationships Compliance and policies: Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards Stay informed about changes in regulations, accounting standards affecting accounts receivable Performance & efficiency: Manage applicable Service Level Agreement (SLAs)/ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met through robust tracking Highlight corrective actions for SLAs/ KPIs, perform RCA as needed and drive for further improvement Lead initiatives to automate and streamline receivables processes for increased efficiency, accuracy, and productivity of the team Ensure operations team in implementing process improvements Facilitate the transition of finance processes, encompassing knowledge transfer, reverse knowledge transfer, coordination with client stakeholders, and the documentation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Work location: Bengaluru

Skills Required
Qualifications: Additional degrees (Chartered Accountant/ MBA – Finance/ CPA) and certifications are advantageous Work experience in Accounts Receivable with global clients, shared service organisations Proficient in Oracle ERP (EBS, Fusion), SAP/ S4 Hana, and ServiceNow. Knowledge of other Oracle E-Business Suite is preferable Experience: 5-6 years of experience in finance and accounting (including majority exp. in AR) with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role, preferably in large, multinational corporation Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Experience of managing/ supporting large scale transition to shared services is preferred Skills and Competencies: Knowledge of accounting standard & concepts, and relevant financial regulations Strong understanding of the broader financial impact of accounts receivable processes Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage client discussions Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills Proficient in data analysis and financial reporting Proactive approach to process improvement and innovation in financial practices Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.Your role as a leader
