We are hiring for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (E/M Engineer) - Cable Manufacturing Industry

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team for shift maintenance in the field of Cable Manufacturing Industry. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, specifically in cable systems. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, with a focus on cables, in a fast-paced and safety-conscious work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on high-voltage cables and Low voltage cable systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including cables, switches, and transformers.
  • Investigate and resolve electrical faults, providing detailed reports of findings and corrective actions.
  • Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of high-voltage cables and related systems.
  • Perform insulation resistance testing, high/low-voltage testing, and ensure cable integrity in compliance with industry standards.
  • Monitor cable systems and identify potential problems or risks, implementing necessary corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to plan and execute shutdowns, repairs, and emergency responses.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and electrical standards while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and testing.
  • Provide technical support to other engineers and staff as required.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment failure quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, with specific expertise in cables.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems, particularly in Cable environments.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and cable installations.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in high-voltage electrical maintenance.
  • Experience with cable testing, diagnostics, and performance monitoring.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as insulation resistance testers, high-voltage testers, etc.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, particularly during shift work.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
