Key Responsibilities:

1. Industry Connect & Employer Relations

  • Establish and maintain relationships with companies, HR managers, and recruiters for internships and final placements.
  • Identify and approach new recruiters across industries relevant to the institutions courses.

  • Organize campus recruitment drives, job fairs, and industry interaction sessions.

  • Student Career Development

  • Guide students on career opportunities, resume building, interview preparation, and soft skills.

  • Coordinate training programs such as aptitude, communication skills, and technical sessions.
  • Maintain a database of student profiles and ensure readiness for placements.

3. Placement Process Management

  • Plan and execute the annual placement schedule.
  • Communicate placement policies and guidelines to students and recruiters.
  • Manage placement records, offer letters, and post-placement follow-up.

4. Networking & Outreach

  • Collaborate with alumni for networking and placement support.
  • Participate in industry seminars, HR forums, and job fairs to build institutional visibility.

5. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain placement statistics and prepare reports for management.
  • Provide data for accreditation and ranking requirements related to placement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: MBA / Masters degree in HR, Marketing, or related field (preferred).

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years in Training & placement, corporate relations, or placement coordination in an educational institution.

  • Skills:

  • Strong communication & networking skills.

  • Ability to negotiate and build relationships with corporate partners.
  • Organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and digital platforms for placement tracking.

Key Competencies:

  • Proactive and result-oriented approach.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a student-centric attitude.
  • Knowledge of local industry trends, especially in and around Tamil Nadu.
