Job Brief:
The General Manager is essential in guiding the hotel/hostel with leadership being the key focus of the role. By coordinating with the Assistant General Manager and department managers, the General Manager shall be expected to steer the organization toward achieving its financial and non-financial goals through effective team management. This position requires a diverse set of managerial skills, including planning, decision-making, organizing, staffing, controlling, directing, and communicating to cultivate a highly competent workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the overall functioning of hotel/hostel operations to ensure optimal performanceMonitor and analyze operational, financial, and business performance metricsConduct daily orientations, inspections, audits, and operational checksPlan and execute the overall budgeting process in alignment with company-approved monthly/quarterly budgetsLead regular meetings and training sessions to enhance team skills, productivity, and motivationConduct financial audits and ensure timely reporting of financial statementsMaintain the property infrastructure to the highest standards, including civil, furniture/furnishing, equipment/HVAC, plumbing, and electricalEnsure timely repair and maintenance by company-prescribed TATs and budgetsUphold 100% compliance with operating SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standardsDeliver exceptional services in all areas, including bed, food and beverage, and non-bed activitiesRegularly audit safety standards, focusing on hazard prevention, health, and cleanlinessServe as the final decision-maker in guest escalation matters, ensuring customer satisfactionLiaise with the company’s head office and various local departments such as municipality, pollution boards, tourism, and policeMaintain an exceptional experience for guests by ensuring all five senses (vision, hearing, touch, smell, and taste) are catered to always
Qualifications:
Hospitality graduate or diplomaOutstanding communication, interpersonal, leadership, and time-management skillsMore than 5 years of operational knowledge in hotel management or front deskOutstanding communication, interpersonal, and time-management skillsWillingness to work pan India (flexible)
