We are looking for a L1.5 Databricks Platform Operator, with at least 2 years of practical experience with relevant skills, tools, and technologies.
Role Description
Main responsibilty is the onboarding of customers / use cases and to fulfill configuration change requests which are not available via self-service.
Further responsibilties include the health monitoring of the platform and scheduled jobs as well as basic incident management.
he role also supports the Databricks Platform Administrator and Databricks Platform Architect roles to maintain a healthy, performant, compliant and secure platform.
Responsibilities
Manage onboarding and change requests from platform consumers and use cases according to standard processes (run-books), using CI/CD based automation via Terraform or Databricks Notebooks
Monitor the platform health, react to alerts and perform basic incidement management and resolution
Monitor the execution of scheduled platform jobs, such as deep-clone to the disaster recovery region, react to alerts and perform basic incident management and resolution
Answer basic consumer requests on the Databricks platform functionality and maintain the knowledge base
Manage Databricks notebooks, clusters, jobs, etc.
Manage untity catalog elements such as catalogs according to standard processes
Skill requirements
Mandatory skills:
Terraform and Terraform Cloud.
Git / Github and basic devops.
Azure resources management with Terraform, at least at a basic level but with practical experience.
Basic Python.
Desirable skills:
Databricks and Spark operations (Spark is the Open-Source project which Databricks is based on).
Advanced Python.
Azure secure networking and private endpoints.
Azure cost reporting.
Databricks query federation and Delta Tables.
