As part of CTT, the Data Analyst (DA) works with program stakeholders to analyse and synthesise information, understand the organisational context and Delivery business insights through Data and analytical trends. Working within the stakeholder engagement framework for the program, the Data Analyst is to communicate data trends and business values to key stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of the program’s objectives and benefits.The role requires strong stakeholder engagement and management skills to ensure a clear understanding of the program’s objectives, benefits and deliverables.The role requires delivery of business insights through to support ANZ’s business strategies and manage and mitigate legal and compliance risks. Experience in FATCA, CRS, Anti-Money Laundering/Know your Customer (AML/KYC) or Compliance related projects will be highly regarded.

What will your day look like

Work with CTT and initiative stakeholders to analyse and synthesise information, understand the organisational context and Delivery business insights through Data and analytical trendsManage and lead the data analysis activities and provide input and guidance for the development of the project business caseEnsure that assigned analysis activities are conducted within agreed timeframes in a collaborative mannerEnsure awareness and compliance of all applicable policies and procedures relating to risk and complianceSupport the analysis of program risks, defects and issues through empirical evidenceConduct root cause analysis and demonstrate ability to provide key insights to drive fact-based decisions whilst being able to communicate decisions effectivelyCollaborate and network with other business units and data/information suppliers on system related information, including the Technology unitsLead and mentor squad members to have shared accountability, liaise with other teams to ensure dependencies between teams are understood and managed, and identify and remove blockersBuild and maintain strong and effective relationships with colleagues, managers and stakeholdersFoster collaboration across teams and business unitsWork with peers to improve, develop and promote the Data Analysis professionMentor more junior DAs, able to review and correct other DA’s documentation, able to create professional PowerPoint presentations and present complex topics to senior stakeholdersContinue building a good team culture with open friendly communication and collaboration aligned to ANZ values

What will you bring?

The ‘must have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:7+ years Data Analysis experience, preferably with experience in Data Analysis in an Operational and Project functionsStrong hands-on knowledge and experience with tools and techniques for data analysis (e.g., SQL, Python, PowerBI, etc.) and data processing tools, analysis, presentation and applicationExtensive Data Analysis experience and/or related experienceStrong Analytical skills – ability to turn data and information into business insights, simplifying large amounts of varied and complex informationStrong ability to document findings and recommend positions to move forwardStrong ability to navigate through difficult problems and work autonomously on tasks with a reasonable complexity.Strong collaboration and negotiation skills to foster desired business outcomeStrong communication and presentation skills including senior stakeholder level, risk committees and governance forumsAbility to work and lead in a dynamic, agile and sometimes ambiguous environmentAbility to identify continuous improvement opportunities and propose solutions to simplify and automate existing processesDemonstrated ability to work under pressure, without sacrificing quality whiles working at speedThe ‘good to have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:Strong knowledge on CRS and FATCA tax compliance obligationsHands on knowledge in Qliksense data visualization and analysis tooClear understanding of project management lifecycles, disciplines and procedures.Some domain knowledge of impacted business units.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working on mid to large sized projectsStrong Interpersonal SkillsStrong Customer centric focus
