About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Control Management Officer
In this role, you will:
  • Act as an advisor to more experienced leaders in developing risk mitigation strategies for complex and highly integrated business specific risk across different business lines
  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report impact of decisions and business controls to the relevant business group and enterprise function
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex current and emerging risks requiring in depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, as well as good understanding of IT systems security, and technology risk management
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leaders on implementing innovative and significant business solutions for highly complex risks associated with business operations
  • Lead and mentor Control Management project or virtual teams
  • Engage with all levels of roles across the business group, and serve as an experienced advisor in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and controls that mitigate risks and address regulatory requirements
  • Drive global level mentoring program to assist assessors/coordinators to enhance control testing skillset
  • Contribute towards process maturity, innovative ideas and automations for increased efficiency
  • Act as trusted advisor during regulatory/external audits and also manage critical escalations across various RAUs
  • contributing for oversight of scheduling controls and capacity planning for the entire year
Required Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Program management experience
  • Experience communicating with business partners and project managers
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor, (CISA) Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional, (CISSP) or other risk management discipline certification
  • Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with senior executive-level leader
Job Expectations:
  • Risk management experience with demonstrated team player skills and ability to mature risk management programs.
  • IT audit/audit consulting experience.
  • Advanced Enterprise Risk Management experience and perspective.
  • Experience successfully navigating and influencing global financial institutions on risk management topics.
  • Strong risk and control fundamentals, knowledge of frameworks and methodologies, common implementation challenges
