Role - Embedded Tester

Location - Pune

Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Embedded Tester to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded systems testing, including software and hardware testing, debugging, and validation. The Embedded Tester will work closely with the development team to ensure the quality and functionality of our embedded products.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded systems.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing on embedded software and hardware.

- Identify, document, and track software and hardware defects using appropriate tools.

- Collaborate with software and hardware engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

- Validate firmware updates and new features to ensure compliance with specifications.

- Conduct performance and stress testing to evaluate system limits and reliability.

- Develop automated test frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on software quality and testability.

- Maintain and update testing documentation, including test reports and user manuals.

- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in embedded systems testing.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- 2+ years of experience in embedded systems testing.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.

- Hands on experience with Linux.

- Experience with embedded development tools and environments (e.g., JTAG, debuggers, oscilloscopes).

- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.

- Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN).

- Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).

- Knowledge of hardware design and development.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
