The Role Reporting to the Manager – Management Accounting, the Management Accountant is a key contributor to the integrity and timeliness of transactional and reporting processes from record to report. A central role within the organization, The Management Accountant partners with Operational Administration to ensure seamless, accurate and near real-time capture, translation and recording of financial transactions. Responsibilities Preparation of weekly & monthly management accounts with production & distribution of multi-site Flash and P&L reporting Accurate and timely processing of journals for revenue & expense recognition Analysis of financial performance for trend & variance analysis in addition to validation of accuracy & timeliness of accounts Development & preparation of key performance indicators Develop, implement & manage financial & economic models for the business Contribute to EOM close & reconciliation activities Work with cross functional partners to ensure compliance with company policies & process Identify & implement improvement opportunities for refining accounting & reporting processes Direct support to the Manager – Management Accounting & GM – Finance & Group Financial Controller with adhoc duties as required. Requirements Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance or other relevant discipline CPA/CA qualifications with 3-5 years’ experience Proven ability to work in and optimize data, systems & processes to promote integrity and timeliness of financial transactions and reporting Proven ability to develop a deep understanding of operations and the workflow & touch points with which to align to deliver accounting outcomes Self-motivated, problem-solving mindset with the ability to act as an agent of change for the organisation Exceptional verbal and written communication complimented by interpersonal skills that adapt to target audience horizontally and vertically across the organisation Advanced Excel; Power BI; AX Dynamics is an advantage.
