Position Overview

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 3–7 years of experience in CAD-based design and industrial automation. The role involves developing 2D/3D models of mechanical systems, supporting automation projects, and integrating PLC/SCADA-based solutions for equipment and process control. This position is ideal for engineers who can combine strong mechanical design fundamentals with hands-on automation expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and modify 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings of mechanical components and systems.
  • Design automation solutions integrating mechanical systems with PLC and SCADA platforms.
  • Support product development, prototyping, and validation activities with cross-functional teams.
  • Apply GD&T and relevant industry standards to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Configure, program, and troubleshoot PLCs for equipment automation.
  • Develop and maintain SCADA/HMI applications for monitoring and controlling mechanical systems.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams to ensure smooth integration of automation systems into production.
  • Document engineering work including BOMs, drawings, PLC/SCADA logic, and change records in PLM/PDM systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement in design and automation processes, including CAD customization, macros, or automation scripts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in mechanical design and automation engineering.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SCADA/HMI platforms (Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T and engineering standards.
  • Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Windchill, Teamcenter, or similar).
  • Understanding of industrial automation equipment, robotics, sensors, and control systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
