OverviewCome join the ProConnect team as a Software Engineer. This groups mission is to help Intuit achieve its key outcome to “Do the Nations’ Taxes.” More specifically, this team focuses on winning the professional tax category in North America, capitalizing on the shift to cloud and mobile-based solutions. We are looking for a highly motivated and creative problem solver with a passion for innovation to join our team and revolutionize the way the world does business.
Responsibilities:Designs, builds and operates highly available services on public and private clouds.Applies SCM best practices to enable highly available & reliable systems and processes including source control, artifact management, build, and deployment systems.Deliver high quality web, windows and desktop software keeping in mind automation and CI/CD ( Jenkins ).Be an integral part of launch that provides for strategy to pilot, scale and ensure zero-downtime while releasing featuresActing as the technical subject matter expert: Demonstrating technical expertise, and leading a small team solving challenging programming and design problemsWork cross-functionally with various Intuit teams including: product management, various product lines, experience design and business units to drive forward resultsDemonstrate a passion for developing well architected, elegant products for desktop.Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies
Qualifications:BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience2+ year’s experience designing and developing
desktop solutions
using XE5, Delphi 2010, C#, .Net 3.5 and related technologiesStrong knowledge and hands on experience on
WPF and Winforms.Experience in development of
Desktop/Windows
based applications.Experience in developing and deploying code to production on AWS and providing analytics and monitoring for the application.Deep understanding of building highly available infrastructure using public cloud technologies and native services.Experience with successfully executing and continuously improving the release process for a large organization delivering many products with competing timelines.Strong coding abilities, architecture, design, debugging, and performance/diagnostics measurement skillsExcellent communication skills: Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiencesExpertise in the Software design/architecture processExpertise with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)
