Job Brief :
Our client is seeking a highly skilled IBM Middleware (MW) Developer with 4-6 years of experience in designing, developing, and managing middleware solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IBM middleware technologies and hands-on experience in the telecom domain, ensuring seamless integration between various business applications and systems.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and implement IBM Middleware solutions, including IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), IBM MQ, IBM Integration Bus (IIB)/IBM App Connect, and IBM API Connect.
- Develop and maintain middleware services to facilitate seamless communication between telecom systems, OSS/BSS, and third-party applications.
- Work closely with telecom architects, business analysts, and operations teams to define middleware integration strategies and best practices.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of middleware solutions in telecom operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve middleware-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Develop and maintain API-based integrations using IBM API Connect and support API lifecycle management.
- Implement security protocols, including authentication, authorization, and encryption, for middleware solutions.
- Monitor and optimize middleware performance, logging, and reporting.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and automate middleware deployments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers when required.
Skills Set :
- Expertise in IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS), IBM MQ, IBM Integration Bus (IIB)/IBM App Connect, and IBM API Connect.
- Hands-on experience in telecom domain middleware integrations, including OSS/BSS, network management, and service provisioning.
- Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, XML, SOAP, RESTful APIs, JSON, and messaging protocols (JMS, MQTT, etc.).
- Experience with event-driven architectures and microservices.
- Good understanding of middleware security protocols (OAuth, JWT, LDAP, SAML, SSL/TLS).
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases for data integration.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud) is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git, Ansible, etc.) for middleware automation.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
- IBM Certified Administrator/Developer for Middleware technologies.
- Knowledge of 5G, IoT, and SDN/NFV architectures in telecom.
- Experience with Kafka or IBM Event Streams for real-time data processing.
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven automation in telecom operations.
