Job Summary: The Product Development (PD) In-Charge is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of product development from concept to sample submission. This role requires coordination with internal teams and external vendors, ensuring timely development, accurate costing, and adherence to quality standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead the product development process at the production unit, with 58 years of experience in a similar role. Independently handle yarn calculations , colour separation , and development specifications. Source yarns and fabrics from external suppliers as required. Possess sound knowledge of local sample units including looms, dyeing, printing, embroidery, and washing facilities. Prepare costing independently for new developments. Translate development specifications into accurate budgeting and initiate sampling immediately. Have strong understanding of local sample and bulk sewing units . Oversee the entire development process from yarn procurement to finishing and ensure timely submission of samples to the assigned merchandiser. Coordinate closely with the HO PD team to assess production feasibility and finalize pricing prior to development. Discuss all developments with the Factory Manager before execution. Ensure on-time delivery of all developments without exceptions. Maintain essential computer skills for documentation, communication, and tracking. Guide and mentor the PD Assistant in the execution of sample developments. Maintain accurate records of all counter samples and update the sample development register consistently. Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 58 years of relevant experience in product development. Strong knowledge of textile production processes and local vendor capabilities. Good understanding of cost structure and pricing strategies. Excellent coordination and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office and basic software tools. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
