Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Experience: 5+ Years About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, develop, and optimize large-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Big Query , Cloud Storage , Cloud Functions , and Cloud SQL , along with a strong understanding of data pipeline architecture and data transformations. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using GCP services. Build and optimize data warehouse solutions using Big Query for analytics and reporting. Implement data ingestion , cleansing , and transformation processes from multiple data sources. Develop and manage Cloud Functions to automate data workflows and system integrations. Utilize GCP Cloud Storage and Cloud SQL for structured and unstructured data management. Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality datasets and insights. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all stages of the data lifecycle. Optimize query performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments. Required Skills & Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields. Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) components, including: Big Query Cloud Storage Cloud Functions Cloud SQL Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT pipeline design , data modeling , and data transformation best practices. Proficiency in SQL (complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning). Experience in Python or Java for data processing and automation. Familiarity with translation and data mapping processes is a plus. Experience working in an Agile environment with version control tools (Git, Bitbucket, etc.). Good to Have: Knowledge of Dataflow , Pub/Sub , or Composer (Airflow) . Understanding of data governance , metadata management , and data security practices. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for data deployment automation. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
