Position:Art Teacher
Location: Bengaluru
Employment Type: Full-Time
Role Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join The Shri Ram Universal School, Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will inspire and nurture creativity in students, fostering a love for art and self-expression. You will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging art lessons that align with the school’s philosophy of holistic education.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Planning:
- Design and implement an art curriculum that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and artistic skills across grade levels.
- Integrate innovative teaching methods and tools to make lessons engaging and relevant.
2. Classroom Instruction:
- Conduct art classes using various media, techniques, and styles.
- Demonstrate art techniques and guide students in creating their own artwork.
3. Student Engagement:
- Encourage students to explore their creativity and individual expression.
- Identify and nurture artistic talent among students.
4. Event Coordination:
- Organize art exhibitions, competitions, and activities to showcase students' work.
- Contribute to school events, festivals, and celebrations with creative inputs.
5. Collaboration:
- Work closely with other teachers to incorporate art into interdisciplinary projects.
- Collaborate with the school leadership and team on initiatives that enhance the art program.
6. Assessment:
- Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Maintain records of student progress and prepare report cards.
7. Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest trends and techniques in art education.
- Participate in workshops, training, and other professional development programs.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Prior teaching experience in art education, preferably in a CBSE or international school setting.
- Strong skills in various art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about fostering creativity and a love for art in students.
Preferred Attributes:
- Familiarity with CBSE guidelines and teaching methodologies.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying skill levels.
- Organized and detail-oriented with strong classroom management skills.
- Innovative mindset with a willingness to experiment with new art forms and techniques.
