Senior AI Engineer (RAG / NLP / LLM) — Contract, 2 Months × 2 Positions

Location: Bangalore (Work from Office preferred, Hybrid possible)

Duration: 60 days (early completion acceptable)

Engagement Type: Contract (Freelancers welcome)

Compensation: ₹40,000 – ₹80,000 (for the complete 2-month contract or for finishing the assigned deliverables)

Role Overview

We are seeking highly skilled Senior AI Engineers to work on advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) , Natural Language Processing (NLP) , and Large Language Model (LLM) projects. The engagement requires building, integrating, and optimizing multilingual AI pipelines with a focus on low-latency, production-ready deployments.

This is a time-bound contract — the faster you deliver, the sooner you complete the engagement while receiving the full contract payment.

Required Skills & Experience
Core AI/ML Skills
  • NLP & IR Expertise :
  • 3–8+ years in Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval .
  • At least 2 years in production-grade RAG implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of chunking strategies, embeddings, retrieval pipelines, and reranking.
  • Vector Search & Rerankers :
  • Experience with pgvector , Milvus , FAISS , or similar vector databases.
  • Implementation of cross-encoder/biencoder rerankers for improved retrieval accuracy.
  • LLM Serving & Integration :
  • Hands-on with Transformers and Hugging Face ecosystem.
  • Experience with LLM inference frameworks (vLLM , Text Generation Inference (TGI) ).
  • Ability to design streaming prompt patterns, function-calling workflows, and structured JSON outputs.
Speech & Multilingual Processing
  • Integration of ASR → NMT → LLM → TTS pipelines.
  • Working with Indic language datasets and multilingual models.
  • Familiarity with AI4Bharat stack: IndicConformer ASR, IndicTrans2 NMT, Indic Parler-TTS.
  • Latency optimization for real-time conversational systems.
Engineering & Deployment Skills
  • Strong Python development skills (async patterns, streaming APIs).
  • Experience building evaluation dashboards (latency tracking, WER/CER, containment, factuality).
  • CI/CD and containerization (Docker ).
  • Version control (Git/GitHub ) and collaborative workflow.
Nice-to-Have
  • Safety guardrails for LLMs and prompt validation/unit testing.
  • Prior CPaaS or voice/media streaming experience.
  • Knowledge of ITU G.114 latency standards and MOS (Mean Opinion Score) evaluation.

Engagement Terms
  • Payment : ₹40,000 – ₹80,000 total for the entire engagement (either for completing all deliverables in 60 days or earlier).
  • Faster completion = same pay (if deliverables are met and approved).
