Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Engineer. You will join a team delivering a design & development of modern data management tools to curate important data sets, models and processes, while identifying areas for process automation and further efficiencies for a key customer.

A Bachelor or Master degree in a computational field (Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or in a related quantitative discipline)

Strong object-oriented design and programming skills and experience in OO languages (Python and/or Java)

Previous experience in Data manipulation, Data Analysis or Data Modelling

Deep understanding of multidimensionality of data, data curation and data quality, such as traceability, security, performance latency and correctness across supply and demand processes

Experience or interest in functional programming languages

Relevant work experience in a team-focused environment

Proven experience applying domain driven design to build complex business applications

In-depth knowledge of relational and columnar SQL databases, including database design

General knowledge of business processes, data flows and the quantitative models that generate or consume data

Excellent communications skills and the ability to work with subject matter experts to extract critical business concepts

Independent thinker, willing to engage, challenge or learnAbility to stay commercially focused and to always push for quantifiable commercial impactStrong work ethic, a sense of ownership and urgencyStrong analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to collaborate effectively across global teams and communicate complex ideas in a simple manner

Qualifications

Financial Services or Pharmaceutical industry experience

Experience in distributed system design

Experience with Pure/Alloy

Working knowledge of open-source tools such as AWS lambda, Prometheus

Spark, Hadoop or Snowflake knowledge would be a plus.

Requirementswe need strong CNC’s with Cloud – AWS/Azure/OCI migration experience. Successful Oracle JDE CNC Administrator with Linux Windows Web logic Oracle WCC. Implementation experience of Enterprise One versions 9.0, 9.1 and 9.2 Should have good understanding of Oracle JDE XE 9.X CNC installation Configuration incl. JASHTML Server manager, Web services, Webserver, Enterprise server, environments, etc. Good hands on experience of JDE Upgrade activities like performance of tools release upgrade, upgrading different environments, Surface testing, application release upgrade, etc. User role management, JDE Security management, Task views, CDK tool, Environment copy, etc. Package deployment, Job scheduling in AS400 Universe Atomic JDE Scheduler tools Web client and Fat client management ESUASU management Expertise in Data source management Object configurations mappings Working knowledge on custom path code definition and environments, Job queue, Printer setups Infrastructure setups like Network access, Firewall, installation of mandatory softwares"
