Designation : Sr Engineer – FEA
Reporting to : Sr. Lead Engineer
Location : Bangalore, Full Time
Qualification : Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in either Mechanical / Automobile or Aerospace
Experience : 4 – 6 Yrs
Key Responsibilities / Functions:
Works on identifying product design & development problems where FEA analysis can assist & accelerate development of products in medical device portfolio
Develop FE models to analyze the problems related to structural domain by thoroughly translating application conditions.
Proactively validate / correlate results with real world data & makes model improvements as deemed necessary
Interpret analysis results with respect to results obtained by lab testing procedures, converting these results into practical design suggestions
Generates high quality engineering test reports & presents CAE results/conclusions to the design engineering community
Support development of CAE methods related to new technologies
Should be able to mentor junior engineers & help them improve their capabilities
Required Qualifications: (Education, Technical Skills/Knowledge)
Strong fundamentals of Structural mechanics
Must have hands on experience in FEA modelling of industrial components, subsystems & systems with in-depth knowledge in domains like Linear, Nonlinear & Dynamic analysis
Strong understanding of Material, Geometry & Contact nonlinearity
Experienced in modal, harmonic, random, transient, Fatigue analysis including life prediction, & explicit analysis.
Expert user of commercially available FEA analysis tool ANSYS (Workbench & Classic). APDL knowledge is desirable.
Knowledge on CAD Tools (SolidWorks) / space claim is must.
Experienced in Hypermesh/Ansa
Experience with scripting using MATLAB/Python is preferred.
Prior experience or comprehensive knowledge on experimental characterization techniques is preferred.
Experience in analytical calculations of bolted & welded connections.
Nice to have Requirements:
Knowledge on Automotive Standards
