Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is the team behind Microsoft’s expanding Cloud Infrastructure and responsible for powering Microsoft’s “Intelligent Cloud” mission. SCHIE delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Teams, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform globally with our server and data center infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability solutions. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering trusted experiences to customers and partners worldwide and we are looking for passionate, high-energy engineers to help achieve that mission.
We are hiring a customer-focused, technically proficient Senior Technical Program Manager to build internal tools within SCHIE organization to drive efficiency and scalability. You should be passionate about engaging closely with our internal customers and engineering teams, understanding their needs, prioritizing, and translating this into a clear product roadmap.
You will partner closely with other Technical Program Managers and peer engineering teams to drive vision and deliver our internal customer needs, including system performance, efficiency, scale, and functionality. Your ability to communicate clearly, collaborate across teams, drive for results, and influence without authority will be critical tools in delivering great results amidst complex, ever-changing requirements from the organization.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) with a minimum of 6 years of experience. Proven expertise in technical program management or comparable roles, particularly focusing on software development projects. Strong comprehension of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies like Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms. Possession of an analytical mindset for solving intricate problems and making data-informed decisions. Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration towards shared objectives and taking end-to-end ownership. Preferred certifications include PMP, ScrumMaster, or Product Owner.Preferred Qualifications
Ability to quickly acquire and excel in relevant technical domains related to assigned responsibilities. Having a growth mindset to continuously learn, develop, and catalyze innovation. Proficiency in independent work and swift adaptation to unfamiliar territories. Strong communication aptitude and inclination to engage in cross-functional teamwork. Demonstrated success in executing software or web development projects utilizing Agile frameworks. Capacity to navigate ambiguity and tackle intricate challenges. Effective organization and analysis of data to derive insights.
Responsibilities
The position entails collaborating with Hardware, Firmware, and Software Engineering teams at SCHIE to comprehend their requirements for data analytics, AI/ML applications, and internal tools, with a focus on enhancing daily operations efficiency and scalability. Conduct thorough analysis of business and technical requirements, collaborating with stakeholders to prioritize and align with project goals. Working alongside the Software engineering team, you will be responsible for defining the technical strategy and product roadmap for internal customers. Collaborate closely with technical teams to propose and evaluate innovative solutions, considering factors like feasibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Act as a liaison for clarifying requirements and facilitating communication between stakeholders and development teams. Coordinate end-to-end project schedules, including semester plans, milestones, timelines, and releases, ensuring adherence to established processes. Organize and conduct regular demos to gather feedback and incorporate it into product iterations. Interact with business users to triage, prioritize, and address feedback within your domain. Define success criteria and foster relationships for implementing features in complex cross-functional projects, ensuring alignment across organizations.
