Today, 75% of the wastewater treatment facilities (STPs/ ETPs) in factories and buildings don’t work properly because the expertise to handle such complex operations doesn’t exist at the ground level. Our IoT-enabled software platform for water is serving this $17 billion opportunity by managing the complete operations cycle for each one of these facilities and transforming them into compliant units delivering high quality water. We've been awarded by Niti Aayog and FICCI for our innovative approach, backed by international investors like Elemental Excelerator (first Asian company in their portfolio), and are serving customers like Tata Power, Taj Hotels, Dr Reddy and more in just a few months of launching.


We’re now looking for a Junior IoT and Instrumentation Manager to join our team from Stanford and IIT-Delhi to solve meaningful problems at scale.


About the role


As the Junior IoT and Instrumentation Manager, you will be responsible for the following:


1.Project Leadership:

  • Lead and manage small-scale IoT, instrumentation, and automation projects from conception to completion.
  • Oversee all aspects of project execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, meeting all performance and quality standards.

2.Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams as well as external stakeholders such as contractors and technology vendors to define project objectives, milestones, and technical requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and technical execution.

3.Risk and Issue Management: 

  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with IoT and instrumentation projects and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively address issues to keep projects on track.
  • Ensure adherence to industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols.

4.Client and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication of project progress, deliverables, and expectations.
  • Prepare and present reports, documentation, and performance metrics to key stakeholders.


About you


The person we’re looking for has:


  • At least 4 years of experience in project management, with a focus on IoT, automation, or instrumentation projects, connected devices, or related technologies. Experience in electrical design is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, providing you with a solid foundation in engineering principles and practices.
  • Proven experience in managing projects from initiation to completion.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams, including engineers, product managers, and external partners.
  • Strong understanding of IoT ecosystems, architectures, protocols (e.g., MQTT), and hardware components such as sensors.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and experience with device integration, data analytics, and real-time processing.
  • Skilled in identifying and mitigating risks, ensuring timelines, budget, and project scope are managed effectively.
  • Experience in the water industry is a bonus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting, stakeholder engagement, and managing client expectations.
  • Comfortable with travel.
